Weekly Update! (Week 4)

March 24, 2021 | Miles Christi

Dear friends!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So, this week I am going to send you some pictures that I hope will inspire you and give you a glimpse into the work that our Lord is accomplishing….

This photo was taken at a Lenten retreat for high school boys. Please pray for the spiritual development of these young men!

These photos are from the Celebration of St. Joseph’s Solemnity with young adults here in Michigan. Mass was presided by our youngest priest, Fr. Matthew, and concelebrated by the other three priests of the community. This was a great way to show unity and fraternity on the solemnity of Miles Christi’s Patron Saint, St. Joseph. Fr. John of God preached an inspiring homily about St. Joseph as the faithful servant, encouraging all to follow his example in our own service to God. After Mass, there was some time of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and then dinner all together. A perfect way for us as priests to follow in the footsteps of St. Joseph, a model for holiness for us men!
This photo is from a Lenten retreat for high school girls.
And although I do not have a photo for this event, I was on a Pilgrimage with FOCUS Parish Outreach – we went to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Green Bay, WI. Sorry for the missed picture opportunity!

As you can see, I – we -have been keeping quite busy! And you know what that means: busy schedule means more prayer… I hope that you are growing in holiness this Lenten season. Do not let the busyness become a distraction but rather an opportunity for growth!

For His Church,
Fr. John, MC
